This year we invited the Evenhouse clan over to our house for Easter, with the caveat that if the weather was lousy we would go to Pella, as it would be really cozy in our house. Well, the weather was beautiful, so everyone made the trek to University Park!
We took some family pictures in our nice clothes right after church.

| I like this picture better, but Nicolas is not looking at the camera. |
| This is the only one where Nicolas is looking at the camera, but Laurel has her hands up, and I'm slouching...or something. |
I hid a over 50 Easter eggs in our yard. We decided to let the kids pick them up before lunch, because we didn't think they could wait any longer. And the chocolate was melting in the sun. I picked up the camera to take pictures, and when I pressed the shutter I discovered that it was still set on the timer from our family picture...by the time it took the timed pictures and I got it changed back, most of the eggs were already picked up!
| Even the older kids took part! |
| Hannah and her friend discovered that I had put tattoos in some of the eggs--the tattoos were of puppies and kitties with butterfly wings. They decided they wanted all the tattoos, and proceeded to put them on their faces. |
| Nicolas was playing with one of the plastic eggs and decided to put it in Grandma's shirt. |
| Where did that egg go? |
| Scott was the grill master. |
My family has a lot of April birthdays (Mom, Laurel, my brother Jim, and me), so we celebrated all of our birthdays on Sunday. Laurel had requested a chocolate cake, and she really likes the Backyardigans, so I made her a Pablo cake.
| Laurel opening her presents. We gave her a set of My Little Pony puzzles. She also received a My Little Pony hat (we didn't intend to have this be a theme!), a headband, and a kiddie pool. |

| We blew up the kiddie pool in the living room, and all the kids (and some adults) had a lot of fun playing in it. |
After presents everyone went outside and played frisbee in our back yard.

| Our friend Kendra stopped by for a while |

| Nicolas is stealing Grandma's glasses! |
