We left for home on Thursday, and decided after we left to drive straight through...16.5 hours later, we got home, at about 1:30am! We slept in on Friday morning, then drove to Des Moines to return the rental car, and to shop for a new grill.
| It took us about 45 minutes to put together the grill. |
| And here we are, trying it out! Sweet potatoes, pork steak, pork chops, and pork and beans....Hmmmm, very porky. And no, we didn't eat all of this in one meal. |
| Yesterday driving home from Des Moines, it was sunny where I was, but I was driving toward a dark and forboding storm. The contrast was so striking, I took a number of pictures from my car, hoping to catch a good shot of it. |
This weekend it is Tulip Time in Pella. I love this time, and would happily go to every parade every day...but I have to work. Scott and I are planning to go on Saturday. But on Wednesday (the day before Tulip Time begins), my office took a "staff field trip" to Pella.
| These were the biggest and orangest tulips I have ever seen. The flowers were about the size of two fists. |
In the first picture, it looks like Scott is hanging upside down from the ceiling. No wander it took so long to put the grill together. :)
