Adorable Pictures of my lovely Laurel

This is a collection of pictures from during our hospital stay.  We took a lot of pictures (happy we bought ourselves that nice camera for Christmas!).  I am not posting a picture of everyone that came to visit, although I think we have pictures of pretty much everyone, so if you want a copy, let me know!
Aunt Carrie and Uncle Tim drove down to Pella from Gladbrook on Saturday morning...I think they left home before the baby was even born so they could be one of the first people at the hospital!  Kendall loved her new baby cousin and gave her a kiss.

On Easter Sunday Mom stopped by before church with Abby and Rhea.  Normally the OB dept. does not allow visitors under the age of 12, but since my room was in the hall outside OB, we decided it was ok to let my nieces all come, but only 1 or 2 at a time.

We didn't use a pacifier for the first day and a half, but since she was nursing so well, we decided to let her have one.  She doesn't use it much even now...just to comfort her while we are changing her, or when she is done nursing and still settling down.  The pacifier is almost as big as her face!

Mommy and Laurel

On Monday Scott had a migraine, and spent most of the afternoon sleeping while trying not to throw up.  Fortunately, Laurel also slept most of the day.  We had been the only people in OB until Sunday night, but by Monday afternoon there were 4 new babies (3 by c-section, and all boys!) in OB, so it was busier.  Since Laurel was just sleeping, I figured I would just keep her in my room most of the day and give them a little break in the nursery.

The Pella hospital supplies a gourmet meal called a Stork Dinner to all new parents.  They make a fancy meal, and even bring in a table cloth so you can enjoy a nice meal together while they take care of your baby in the nursery.  Unfortunately, Scott was not feeling well at all during our Stork dinner.  However, Mom had stopped in to hold Laurel, and ate his stork dinner for him.  What a nice romantic meal!  :)  We did save the salad and cheesecake for him, and he got to eat it later that night when he felt better.
