Scott and I just finished a class at our church called SMTI (Supernatural Ministries Training Institute). This class was a huge commitment--we paid tuition, and every Sunday for nine months out of the last 3 years we sat in church from 1-4pm and watched 3 videos of class sessions. We were the only people in our class, so this past year we also were able to bring Laurel along with us. It has been challenging, but we have also learned a lot, and are now ready and prepared to be leaders in our church!
Because it is such a big commitment, the church makes a big deal about finishing the year. On Saturday night we had a banquet with a fancy catered meal and a guest speaker. Then Sunday in church we have a mini graduation ceremony, and the speaker gives the sermon.
