Last weekend after breakfast, Scott and I were sitting on our back deck drinking coffee while Laurel played on the swingset. We were deciding what to do with our free Saturday, and threw around a few ideas (Hot Air Balloon fest in Indianola, hiking, road trip to Des Moines...). We decided it might be a good day to drive up to Gladbrook to visit my sister, so we gave her a call to see what they were doing. They had made plans to meet a friend at the zoo in Des Moines, and invited us to join them. We did just go to the zoo in May, but decided it was worth it to go again so we could hang out with cousins. We had fun!
