Last week while Nicolas was napping, Laurel and I made "Frozen" inspired play dough.(http://pagingfunmums.com/2014/10/04/frozen-playdough/) It is inspired by the movie "Frozen" because it is blue and has lots and lots of sparkles.
I have never made play dough before, and I've found that this recipe doesn't smell weird or leave blue on hands or clothes. And we have played with it outside and inside 5 times now, and it is still soft and smooth. I store it in a plastic zip-lock bag in the closet.
The kids have never played with play dough before, so I had to show Laurel how to roll it in a ball, stick it together, etc. She was a little hesitant to squish it at first, so I helped her make Olaf.

| I made the Olaf snowman shape, and then Laurel put on eyes, nose, buttons, etc. She also made a small pile of "toys" for him. |
| Look at that concentration! |
| Laurel also learned how to make a snake by rolling the dough into a log, |
| Putting decorations on the play dough Christmas tree. |
