Last weekend on Saturday I had plans to host a bridal shower for our friend Elaina, who is marrying our other good friend Jacob next month. I am so happy for both of them, and it is truly a blessing to have two people who are wonderful friends get married to each other--they are thrilled to be marrying each other, and we will soon have a COUPLE to hang out with. :) (Not that we have a problem hanging out with single people, but we are excited for them).

Scott's Mom called earlier in the week and asked if she could come visit for the day on Saturday. We figured she wasn't really coming to see me, so it was ok for me to be gone half of the day...and I even made a chicken pot pie from scratch for them to bake for lunch! The next day I texted Melanie to see if she had the day off and wanted to come as well. The day after that, we learned that Scott's brother Lance and family were planning to be at Mom's for the weekend, and wanted to come as well! So instead of one visitor, we had 7...and lots of people to hold the baby!
